- Kayaköy is an abandoned village in Turkey. Once a township teeming with a vibrant Greek culture, it was emptied during the 1923 population exchange between Greece and Turkey, following the Greco-Turkish war. Today, the relics of Kayaköy stand in silent witness to the brutal formation of clinically demarcated modern ethnic nation states. © Victor Cui 2023
