- Prologue was written for and dedicated to the Icelandic cellist and poet Steinunn Arnbj枚rg Stef谩nsd贸ttir. A few years ago she gifted me a wonderful book of her poems, which were so full of imagery and wit that I just had to compose something based on her work. In my piece I wanted to explore the tonal colors that are possible on the cello in order to capture the essence of her poetry.
