Five Stages of Grief was written to depict Elisabeth Kübler-Ross' model of the five stages of grief, presented in her book 'On Death and Dying'. 'Five Stages of Grief' was selected as an outstanding composition in the 2022 PMEA Composition Competition, and was premiered at the 2022 PMEA All-State Festival by the West Chester University Saxophone Quartet. The 2022 revision was premiered in November 2022 at Ithaca College by Stephanie Pond, soprano saxophone, Justus Crow, alto saxophone, Marissa Kane, tenor saxophone, and Hunter Hellard, baritone saxophone
