Momentable - Score Video

For this piece, I wanted to combine two of my favorite styles of music, those being Ragtime Jazz and Classical Waltzes. The piece opens with a light hearted stroll, but sneakily devolves into an emotional ballad (which teases melodies later in the piece), before returning to beginning. We stay on this more jazzy, improvisational section, and then into a more aggressive section, indicating the tiredness of the familiar. The brand new finale builds up, and proceeds to reuse the melodies from the waltz before; after dying off, the song returns back home to the Ragtime section, concluding the song’s journey.
