Program Notes
Ódáðahraun was written for Score Collective Ensemble in Amsterdam and premiered in November 2015. The piece is inspired by and named after Iceland’s largest lava-field, Ódáðahraun, which covers around 4440 km². The aim was to create a sonic journey through the lava-field and its nearby landmarks, Lake Askja and Mt. Herðubreið.
Recording Notes
Recorded by Score Collective (cond. Jurjen Hampel).
