Surrounded by history and immersed in the culture of the charming medieval town of Alba, Italy, I became a part of a small community of composers of varying backgrounds and perspectives. Unfamiliar flavors drew us around every corner, and culinary masterpieces enhanced our stay.
Being in a small town enabled me to experience living in an authentic Italian community. I would often stop by Vincafé for breakfast, enjoying a marmalade croissant and some of the best freshly-squeezed orange juice I have tasted. There, I sat quietly and listened. I experienced an authentic connection with the local townspeople, who would even wave to me as I passed them on the streets. The conversations that surrounded me sounded warm and melodious, evoking a sense of comfort.
I enjoyed meeting people from various backgrounds in Alba. Exploring the streets, shops, and cuisine, I became a part of Alba’s community. Along its ancient, narrow roads, I deepened my strong ambition to delve into new places and their distinct cultural crevices.
