Welcome to scorefol.io, a service provided by Score Follower LLC (“Scorefol.io” “Scorefolio” “Score Follower” “we” “us” or “our”). We want Scorefol.io to be a community where everyone feels respected. This document includes important information about our rules and guidelines related to your use of Scorefol.io. Please take the time to carefully read through this information. The Community Guidelines are also incorporated into our Terms of Service and constitute a legally binding contract between you and Score Follower.
The Community Guidelines may be regularly updated to keep pace with emerging challenges and community feedback. We will alert you about any changes by updating the “Last updated” date on this page.

OVERVIEW

Our Community Guidelines outline what type of content isn’t allowed on Scorefol.io. These policies aim to make Scorefol.io a safer community and apply to all types of content on our platform, including videos, links, thumbnails and all future features that will be integrated into our service.
We enforce and apply these Community Guidelines to everyone equally—regardless of the user’s background, political viewpoint, professional affiliations and so on.

SPAM AND DECEPTIVE PRACTICES

SPAM & SELF PROMOTION

Scorefol.io encourages promoting your work, connecting with like-minded community members, and developing an outside audience for your music through sharing links to your works and composer/artist profile.
However, we also aim for Scorefol.io to be a spam-free site. Please don’t engage in a behavior that fits any of the descriptions noted below.
  • Post content that is excessively posted, repetitive, or un-targeted
  • Repeatedly “like” (♥) and “unlike” (♡) the same work in a short amount of time, or in order to draw attention to your own profile

FAKE ENGAGEMENT

Scorefol.io doesn’t allow anything that artificially increases the number of views and likes either by using automatic systems or serving up the content to unsuspecting viewers. Please don’t engage in a behavior that fits any of the descriptions noted below.
  • Code and/or use automated bot services in order to artificially inflate view counts
  • Create multiple accounts with the intention of inflating the popularity of an uploaded work
  • Include links or language in the description that promises to sell/offer engagement metrics
Please note that regardless of how it is accomplished, inorganically inflating one’s view count and likes may result in immediate account termination.

IMPERSONATION

Content intended to impersonate another person or entity is not allowed.  Please don’t post content if it fits any of the descriptions noted below.
  • Entity impersonation: Copying another entity’s profile, background, or overall look and feel in such a way that makes it look like someone else’s profile and/or upload. The resemblance does not have to be 100% identical, as long as the intent is clear to copy the other entity.
    • For example, a user cannot copy Score Follower and/or Incipitsify’s recognizable color gradients in their thumbnails making it seem like the content is coming from Score Follower.
  • Personal impersonation: Content intended to look like someone else is posting it.

EXTERNAL LINKS

Don’t post links in your content on Scorefol.io if they fit any of the descriptions noted below.
  • Links to pornography
  • Links to websites or apps that install malware
  • Links to websites or apps phishing for a user’s login credentials, financial information, etc.
  • Links to websites, apps, or other information technology that give unauthorized free access to audio content, audiovisual content, musical scores, software, or streaming services that normally require payment
  • Links to websites unrelated to the uploaded work

INACTIVE ACCOUNTS

In general, free account users are expected to be active members within the community. If an account is found to be overly inactive, for example, by not logging into the site for at least 2 years or never having uploaded a work, the account may be reclaimed by Scorefol.io without notice.

ENCOURAGING TERMS OF SERVICE VIOLATION

If you post content that encourages other users to violate our Terms of Service, the content may be removed and your account may be terminated without prior notice.

RE-POSTING PREVIOUSLY REMOVED CONTENT

If you post content previously removed for violating our Terms of Service, or content from creators who have been terminated under our Terms, the content may be removed and your account may be terminated without prior notice.

SENSITIVE CONTENT

PUBLISHING OF PRIVATE INFORMATION

Scorefol.io strictly forbids the sharing of personal details of another person/entity, without their permission. This includes recordings of private conversations, full names, photographs, unlisted phone numbers, and home or email addresses. We also ask our community members to always exert caution when divulging any of their own sensitive information on their profile pages.

CHILD SAFETY

Minors are not allowed to use Scorefol.io without parent supervision and consent. Additionally, we don’t allow content that endangers the emotional and physical well-being of minors (usually anyone younger than 18 years old in most countries). Please don’t post content if it fits any of the descriptions below.
  • Sexualization of minors: Sexually explicit content featuring minors and content that sexually exploits minors.
  • Harmful or dangerous acts involving minors: Content showing or encouraging a minor participating in dangerous activities.
  • Infliction of emotional distress on minors: Content that could cause minor participants or viewers emotional distress, including:
    • Simulating parental abuse
    • Coercing minors
    • Obscenity or other mature themes not suitable for young audiences
  • Cyberbullying and harassment involving minors: Content that:
    • Targets individuals for abuse or humiliation
    • Reveals personal information
    • Records someone without their consent
    • Sexually harasses
    • Encourages others to bully or harass
If you find content that violates this policy, please use the report button (⚑) and file it as a “Other Legal Complaint” violation.

THUMBNAILS

Please don’t post a thumbnail or slide on Scorefol.io that fits any of the descriptions noted below.
  • Thumbnails that include pornographic images depicting sexual acts, nudity, or other sexually gratifying imagery
  • Violent imagery intended to shock or disgust
  • Graphic or disturbing imagery with blood or gore
  • Thumbnails with uncensored vulgar or lewd language
  • Thumbnails misleading viewers into thinking they’re about to view something that’s not in the video

NUDITY AND SEXUAL CONTENT

Explicit content meant to be sexually gratifying is not allowed. Please don’t post content on Scorefol.io if it has any of the items below.
  • Depiction of genitals, breasts, or buttocks (clothed or unclothed) for the purpose of sexual gratification
  • Pornography or depicting sexual acts, genitals, or fetishes for the purpose of sexual gratification on any medium (such as video, text, audio, thumbnails etc.)

SUICIDE AND SELF-INJURY

We do not allow content that promotes suicide, self-harm, or is intended to shock or disgust users. Please don’t post content if it fits any of the descriptions below.
  • Promoting or glorifying suicide
  • Providing instructions on how to self-harm or die by suicide
  • Graphic images of self-harm posted to shock or disgust the viewer

DANGEROUS CONTENT

HARASSMENT AND CYBERBULLYING

We don’t allow content and/or behavior that threatens individuals. We have a zero tolerance policy for any activity whose intent or likely result is to attack or demean someone else. This includes but is not limited to content aimed at sexualizing or degrading other users. Please don’t post content if it fits any of the descriptions noted below.
  • Content that features prolonged name calling or malicious insults based on someone’s intrinsic attributes. These attributes may include their physical attributes as well as their status as a survivor of sexual assault, domestic abuse and more. See the next section below for a more thorough list of protected group statuses.
  • Content uploaded with the intent to shame, deceive or insult a minor (in most countries anyone younger than 18 years old, but the age of a minor might vary by geography).

HATE SPEECH

Hate speech is not allowed on Scorefol.io. Please don’t post content promoting violence or hatred against individuals or groups based on any of the following attributes:
  • Age
  • Caste
  • Disability
  • Ethnicity
  • Gender Identity and Expression
  • Nationality
  • Race
  • Immigration Status
  • Religion
  • Sex/Gender
  • Sexual Orientation
  • Victims of a major violent event and their kin
  • Veteran Status

VIOLENT OR GRAPHIC CONTENT

We don’t allow abusive, violent or gory content intended to shock or disgust viewers. Any content that encourages others to commit violent acts is taken seriously and will result in your account termination. If you believe anyone is in imminent danger, you should get in touch with your local law enforcement agency to report the situation immediately.

COPYRIGHT

COPYRIGHT POLICY

You retain ownership rights to all the content that you upload on Scorefol.io. We do not claim any ownership rights in your content. However, you must not submit to Scorefol.io any content that includes third-party intellectual property unless:
  1. You have written permission from that party AND
  1. You are otherwise legally entitled to upload without violating the owner’s rights AND
  1. Your use of the content under Scorefol.io’s agreement does not violate the content’s licensing terms.
This applies to all content, including content that is licensed under a non-commercial use Creative Commons type license.
Please understand that you are responsible for all activity associated with your account and are legally responsible for your content submitted to Scorefol.io. If you are unsure whether the uploaded content is infringing on third-party rights please refrain from uploading it. Any infringements may result in termination of your access to the service, and may also result in civil litigation or criminal prosecution by or on behalf of the relevant rightsholder.
If you find content that violates this policy, please use the report button (⚑) and file it as a “Copyright Issue” violation.

LACK OF CONSENT

Per our Terms of Service, by using Scorefol.io you guarantee that you uploaded an original work, or that they have obtained all rights, licenses, consents and permissions and/or releases in written form, including permission from any and all persons appearing in the content in order to include their name, voice, performance or likeness.
If you are involved in the content uploaded as performer, audio engineer, poet, designer etc. but did not agree to making it available on the site, please use the report button (⚑) and file it as a “Lack of Consent” violation.

REPORTING

If you encounter any content that clearly violates these guidelines or our Terms of Service please report this to us. Each page on Scorefol.io makes this easy by providing you with the report button (⚑) and prompting you to choose the appropriate violation category.

ENFORCMENT

All the guidelines and examples listed on this page are for illustrative purposes and are not exhaustive.
Any repeated or serious offenses violating these Community Guidelines, Terms of Service, other associated policies, or applicable laws may result in your account termination. We will make an effort to contact and warn you of any possible violations, however, we reserve the right to terminate your account without prior warning, in our sole discretion.
