Empyrean Manifest II. Battle Cry

"Empyrean Manifest" for Wind Band, by David Ahrens. II. Battle Cry. An ever-changing canvas of dazzling beauty, power, and wonder - the sky tells a story that connects us to every other person on earth and to every generation of mankind. Battle Cry shares the power, excitement, and - at times - chaos of a mighty thunderstorm. At the time that I write this, I am uncertain how many movements this piece will have. Initially I wanted to do three: 1. Daybreak, 2. Battle Cry, and 3. Glory. But I am considering expanding to include other heavenly scenes, including the starry sky at night, the Aurora Borealis, a foggy morning, and perhaps more. Perhaps I will do Empyrean Manifest I, EM II, EM III, etc with three movements each. What do you think? Should I add more movements? Should I break the piece into installments?
