Sól ek sá ("Sun I Saw") is a sonic exploration of the interplay between the contrasting moods of rain and sun. The title is drawn from the Icelandic medieval poem Sólarjóð ("Song of the Sun") though the work is otherwise unrelated to the content and message of the poem. Here, it's simply the eternal opposites that clash: on the one hand, the rain with its chaos and uncertainty, and on the other hand, the majestic sun that envelops us with its bright and warm rays and gives us hope for joy and peace.
