variants for clarinet and piano

variants was commissioned by the University of Wales College of Cardiff with the support of Arts Council Wales, and premiered by Victoria Soames and Julius Drake at the University Concert Hall, December 8 1992. Subsequently the work was performed by Roger Heaton and James Clapperton in Studio 1, BBC, Cardiff, in 1994, and was chosen for inclusion in the June in Buffalo Festival, USA. The work received its Italy premiere at the Nuovi Consonanza Festival in Rome 1997, and was broadcast on BBC Radio Three’s Hear and Now, in May 2001, with Roger Heaton, clarinet, and Ian Pace, piano.
