- Program Notes
- For "Summercycle" I was inspired by Denmarks long tradition of nature poetry. I collected 6 poems by danish authors and wrote a tiny piece for each, and then the idea was to combine them into one movement (a song cycle if you will). The result is a recollection of memories from different times and different places, that seems to defy rationality and never stays the same for very long. As I wrote in the performance notes: "Each year with the passing of summer, we are reminded of the death that awaits us, but also of the rebirth soon to follow"

- An old version of this work was performed by Sankt Annæ Symphony Orchestra in Tivoli Concert Hall in may 2024, but I don't have a quality recording, so this is just a Musescore 4 playback.
