- I would probably characterize this work as a tone poem. It describes that middle state between being asleep and awake, when the silence becomes deafening and reason seems to fade away. It is at times like these when there is nothing to see but darkness and nothing to do but reflect that we are the closest to the existential abyss that is both so deeply anxiety-inducing and yet so poignantly beautiful.

- An older version was actually performed at Pulsar Next Generation 2023, but I unfortunately don't have a recording of this newer version. Thought it would be shame not to share either way.
