- Program Notes
- From dawn to the insides of the sun. The great eye of night breaks into dawn. Cold thin air leaks in, chilling your
nostrils, filling your lungs. Light begins to make its way. Long stripes of infinite black, deep red and bright
orange encircle the horizon. Lucid golden light keeps growing candid until you can feel it, barely gracing your
cheek. Smile! Long clouds filter the star’s rays, some break through, some refract in floating colors, some hide
away, some project plainly over the land and some rest right there, upon your cheek.
The air is fresh, light moves towards you from the insides of the sun. The ancient energy born from particles
clashing eight light minutes away, comes now with the gift of life. It pours into your eyes, gifting your gaze back
to the insides of the sun, in a puff.
It’s daytime.
Sometimes it just so happens that night turns into day. And the sun knows so, in a single breath.
