- Program Notes
- In general, the idea of the piece is an “inverted concert”: the conductor stands behind the audience and controls the musicians invisibly. The performers are located not only on the stage, they, in fact, “encircle” the entire hall with sound. This creates a geometry of weightless and rapid movements of sound, which is graphically recorded in the score (the musical text is formed into patterns, the location of which indicates the movement of sound in space). This piece is quite a personal. It’s about the loss of identifying oneself with a “place” (I’ll say this, but it’s not about a location), which seemed like myown. And, inevitably, the loss of real connection with many people. The play “After” is my reaction to the crisis, the crisis of identity and self-identity.
- Recording Notes
- The composition "After(Post)" is mixed using a particular spatial sound distribution system. The author recommends listening with headphones to feel the presence effect.
