- The Silurian Hypothesis is the idea that there was a highly advanced race living on Earth long before humans ever existed. In this original composition, the 1st section represents the advanced Silurians. The 2nd section represents prehistoric humans, and the third represents ancient humans. All three would have inhabited the same Earth but had no idea of the others' existence.
