- Good Morning Zapruder is a lament for the desensitisation of young people, a consequence of regular exposure to distressing information and imagery via social media. This poignant concept dawned on me one morning as l unlocked my phone and was immediately confronted by the chilling Zapruder film; the infamous footage of the assassination of JFK. The music unfolds through forebodingly dark melodies, menacing rhythms and tumultuous textures. Moments of interjecting sarcasm reflect the indifference and mockery toward the macabre which pervades the internet of which I, as a child of the digital age, am also guilty. Ultimately, the work is an honest rumination on one aspect of my online experiences.
