- Part of the requirements for my bachelor's degree was a Choral arranging class. This was the third "arrangement" assignment I turned in for our teacher, Dr. Jon Jonsson (R.I.P.). It is/was an original piece I came up with for the class to which a fellow student commented that I was turning the class into a composition class and not an arranging class. This was a non-issue with Dr. Jonsson who's comment to me, that I remember, was "You do not belong here" and going on to say I needed to be attending a school more focused on music composition.
