- Since I'm making Scorefollower the database of my music composition journey, I'll add to this list my first attempt at writing for oboe. I myself was an oboist and absolutely love the instrument. Ironically, when I went to show this to my oboe instructor at the time, a fellow student (bassoonist) was in his office. My instructor told me that this person also wrote music and I was thoroughly embarrassed and felt inadequate (a personality quirk I've learned to overcome). As it turns out, this person became a good friend and the teacher I received my Masters of Theory and Composition under.
