- Dancing, Still is a celebration and reflection of my past, present, and future composer self. Twenty years ago, in 2003, I was a young Master始s student just entering the wide-open world of new music with a brand-new composition for solo flute and electronics called Alone, Dancing. In retrospect, it marked a turning point: the first piece of mine that remains in performance, the first piece to be presented at a professional conference, and the first piece that explored ways to integrate my Indian musical roots with my Western composition training.
