- Originally composed in 2019 bearing the title 'Solitary Wolf I,' Alone I is a revision of that piece-- although one could consider it a complete reworking. In the time that has past since its initial completion, I have done a lot of growing as a person; consequentially, in revisiting the piece my goal was to filter the music I had written back then through my more recent method/style (which is more reflective of who I am now). Overall, the work is meant to be evocative of navigating an unfamiliar environment alone; existing somewhere foreign that is sometimes welcoming, sometimes not-- a premise that is preserved from the original composition.
