Astral Happenings - For Quartet (2025)

Astral Happenings encapsulates a soundworld where its movement and pacing depict cosmic events etched into the fabric of space. It starts with building chords, like gentle pulses of energy, mathematically arranged to fit tightly into the piece's structure. Then wisps of melodic phrases, like strands of dust in vast empty space, open up into increasingly chaotic lines. They get faster and faster, merging together in an explosive moment depicting a supernova. Finally, marked 'like falling stars', distant flashes of light fade in and out, dying away gently back into the pulses of energy we first heard, fading to nothing.
