- pee muay for alto flute is a programatic piece based on Muay Thai music. Muay Thai is a type of martial art originated in Thailand which has a very important presence of music before and during the fight. The work was not intended to be a transcription of the actual music that is present during a Muay Thai fight but a free interpretation of some aspects related to it. Therefore during the work it is possible to hear reminiscences of the drums pattern played originally by the klong (drums), the bright color of the shing (cymbal) and the insistent melody of the pee (Thai flute).
