Matías Homar, born in Salta, Argentina, guitarist, composer, sound designer, and interactive instrument maker. With the Imaymana Duo, he has released two albums (2017-2021) and a solo album with his personal project of experimental music, Ge[r]minaciones (2022). He has participated in various ensembles, including a ‘modern’ tango band (Cosmo Ensemble), a children's music band (La Malagua Fosforescente), a rock band (Mondongo Soho), and experimental music ensembles (Academic Complex).

Some of his recent works were performed by Hanatsu Miroir Ensemble (France), Arditti Quartet (England), Ensemble Mise-en (US), Current Sax (Norway), Elision Ensemble (Australia), and Signal Ensemble (US). In 2024, Matías premiered Harpsihammond, a solo harpsichord piece with live processing effects, using the GEP board electronically preparing it. Hac Carcer E(d)o was awareded in 2025 with the Carle Reinecke International Music Competition Platinum Prize in the chamber music category.

His research focuses on building custom MIDI devices, including the GEP Contraption (MIDI Innovation Award 2024) and the interactive GEPedal. His recent projects include a solo harpsichord piece with live processing effects and an interactive glove for a dancer, presented in Ireland during the Open Futures residency. In March 2025 Harpsihammond, was rearragned for 16 speakers, performed at the DME festival, Lisbon, Portugal.
