Ethan Tan is a composer currently based in Hong Kong.

In early 2025, Ethan collaborated with the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, premiering the Violin Concertino with Ding Yijie, representing Arts with the Disabled Hong Kong.

He currently has plans for performances and more community interaction in the 2026-27 year. 

Ethan's style currently involves a fusion of core 20th-century elements to create a familiar yet fresh soundscape, with a focus on the melding of various harmonic systems and music, often inspired by a range of extramusical sources. He often writes for orchestra, instrumental soloists and chamber groups, hoping to bring lush textures and unique timbres to ensembles of any size.
