Zach Hassan is a Composer, Guitarist, and Oud player based in Edmonton, Alberta. His compositions blend elements of traditional Arabic Music with contemporary Jazz and western classical music. His music can be heard on the Canadian documentary TV series Crip Trip, alongside local composers John McMillan and Stephen Cameron. Zach has performed across Alberta and British Columbia as a founding member of Misfortune Tellers, a rock/emo band whose extensive performance history includes opening for acts such as Wheatus, Paul Russell, and Pkew Pkew Pkew. Zach is currently completing his Masters of Music in Critical and Experimental Composition at the University of Leeds.
