I am a composer, conductor, trumpet player and brass teacher burning for music in all its overwhelming glory.
Composition:
I simply love making melodies!. Creating evocative, intricate, and compelling music that resonates and hopefully engages both listener and performers, is my greatest thrill. Music is far more than notes on a page—it is a medium for storytelling, evoking emotion, and building memorable musical experiences. I call it the goose bumps experience.
So far I have mainly composed for concert bands and brass bands, but I'm eager to expand to other ensemble types.
Conductor:
I have been enroled to conducting classes on Royal Northern College of Music, The Danish Conservatory of Music and have taken numerous private lessons and courses with Allan Wittingthon, James Watson, Henrik Vagn Sørensen and Jesper Nordin. Also my great friend Jacob Vilhelm Larsen, has been a huge support and inspiration throughout the years.
When conducting I love making music first of all. Creating balance, phrasing, enhancing details and making the orchestra sound as one coherent unique unit is beyond words. The commonship that playing in an orchestra is most fantastic.
Throughout the years I have conducted beginners to elite bands. Including Bmso, Slagelse Garden, Frederiksberg Brass Band, Christianshavns Brass Band, Lyngby Taarbaek Brass Band and been guest conductor for numerous bands.
Trumpet player:
as a trumpet player I focus on good sound, phrasing and intonation.
In my earlier days, I played with many professional orchestras and military bands in Denmark, but I realized that my talent was not to win an orchestral seat. Also my focus had already changed to conducting, composing and teaching, which appealled more to me. Now I play different projects instead and still have the joy of playing intact.
