Rotem Eylam is a composer, guitarist, and improviser from Israel, currently based in Zurich. He is pursuing a master’s degree in composition at the Zurich University of the Arts with Isabel Mundry. Before that, he studied at the New England Conservatory in Boston, earning his bachelor’s degree in jazz guitar with Joe Morris and also studying composition with Stratis Minakakis, after completing a diploma at The Center for Jazz Studies in Tel Aviv.

His music has been performed by ensembles such as Mivos Quartet, Divertimento Ensemble, Neue Vokalsolisten, IEMA (Ensemble Modern Akademie), Gerald Preinfalk (Klangforum Wien), and Collegium Novum Zürich. 

Rotem often performs his own music as both guitarist and conductor. He has played Gushpanka Leumit for 2+3 voices and electric guitar (2025) with Neue Vokalsolisten Stuttgart, conducted his piece INA for pierrot ensemble and voice (2023), premiered his solo work Hevel for electric guitar and distortion pedal (2023), and performed his trio Breish Glay for alto saxophone, percussion, and electric guitar (2025).
