Zach Hassan is a Composer, Guitarist, and Oud player from Edmonton, Alberta. His work reflects his Egyptian-Canadian heritage, blending elements of Arabic Music with contemporary jazz and classical traditions. He holds a Bachelor of Music in Composition from MacEwan University, and is currently completing his Masters in Composition at the University of Leeds.

His recent focus has been on producing works for augmented guitar, including fretless electric guitar and prepared guitar pieces.

Zach’s music can be heard on the Canadian documentary TV series Crip Trip, alongside fellow Canadian composers John McMillan and Steve Cameron.
