Giorgos Magalios (b. 1997) is a Thessaloniki-based Greek composer whose work explores the intersection of contemporary music, theatrical expression, and cultural memory. He studied Composition at the Department of Music Science and Art of the University of Macedonia and is currently pursuing a PhD in composition, focusing on the integration of political narratives and experimental dramaturgy in opera.
His music has been performed in concerts, theatre productions, and contemporary music festivals in Greece and abroad. His catalogue includes chamber, orchestral, vocal, and stage works, often engaging with folk traditions, internet culture references, and interdisciplinary approaches while seeking original musical narratives. Alongside his compositional activity, he is also active as a music educator.
