Skyscrapers for Concert Band

I got inspiration and started on this piece when I was in the National Library of Singapore, overlooking the tall skyscrapers of our city, and I poignantly remember, the durian shaped esplanade. When I walk around in the CBD or see tall and majestic buildings from a distance, I can’t help but feel a sense of joy and awe, which is why this piece is centered around jovial, upbeat, and often catchy melodies, which reflect the grandness of the tall skyscrapers found in Singapore.
