Dance! Is a work that is meant to energise the players and the audience, bringing lively energy into the otherwise dead silent concert hall or performing venue. The piece features a heavy instrumentation, with 12 parts, and most parts requiring the player to play more than one instrument. The drum kit keeps the beat of the piece going, while the mallets play catchy and energetic rhythms that is sure to stay in the listener’s head for a few days. With reckless shouting from the performers and the boisterous, uncontrollable drum beats and the tambourines and shakers, this piece is one that will wake even the most tired and bored audience member up!
