RESIDENCY PROGRAM [October 2026 - June 2027]

An international residency for composers, performers, and ensembles to collaboratively develop, interpret, perform, and present new works.

FORMAT: 

Stage I. | October 2026

- 2 online workshops

- Presentation and exchange of participants’ artistic practices

- Initial preparation for the creation and performance of new works

- Q&A

Stage II. | December 2026

- 2 Online workshops

- Score reading, analysis, and critical reflection on the composed works

- Preparation for the subsequent residency and performances at the festival

- Q&A

Stage III. | June 2027

- On-site residency at the seventh Bled Contemporary Music Week in Bled, Slovenia

- Artistic development, rehearsals, and performances

The precept.concept.percept residency centers on a collaborative creative process in which composers and performers work closely together toward the realization of new works and their performance at the seventh Bled Contemporary Music Week in Bled, Slovenia, EU.

Composers develop new works or further elaborate existing programs, while performers form an ensemble that engages directly with these compositions, refining their interpretative skills and expanding their artistic practice through the process of bringing new works to premiere. Throughout the online sessions, participants are invited to critically reflect on and discuss their practices within the conceptual framework of the upcoming edition: grounding, composition of mind, and [emancipatory practices].

The program provides a focused context for artistic development through collaborative practice, critical reflection, and exchange, while fostering new international artistic relationships and forms of artistic dialogue.
