COMPOSERS' CONVERSATIONS - 1
Conversations about compositions between father and son composers, Pete and Joe Stollery.
This first set of conversations introduces a new composition by Joe, as yet untitled, which has been commissioned by Aberdeen City Orchestra. The plan is to release a new conversation each month or so, leading up to the first performance, detailing Joe's progress and revealing his process from early stages of research to the final piece. The new work will be premiered by ACO at St Machar's Cathedral, Aberdeen, Scotland on Saturday February 28th, 2026. Pete will be conducting the orchestra and the programme will also include an arrangement by Pete of Astor Piazzolla's Concierto para Quintetto and Sibelius' 5th Symphony.
