- I have a rendezvous with Death. is a piece for Soprano and Violin. This piece utilizes the famous poem, “I Have a Rendezvous with Death” by Alan Seeger to create a theatrical experience that parallels the many times in life that we furiously rage against the machine, but fail to succeed in the end. Throughout the piece, the vocalist portrays multiple perspectives on the looming visage of death through Seeger’s constant returns to the titular saying. This piece was written for and dedicated to the phenomenal Duo Cortona.
