- Bold Ridge Apex (2007) for piano. Duration ca. 7 minutes. Completed by the summer of 2007, Bold Ridge Apex for solo Piano has been especially composed for pianist Ermis Theodorakis. The work, with its lower register ostinato and its fast passages creates a dark sonic background that gradually develops in pitch, volume and dynamics leading through undulations to a flat and solid plane. The total dynamics of the piano, as a holophonic texture ousts apportionment from the listener’s perception, in order to create a solid-state, monolithic sonic object with internal functions.
